Artisans shape, sand and finish every slab by hand to bring out texture while keeping the surface smooth to the touch. The base attaches with precisely cut mortise and tenon joints, which lets the table travel in sections and lock together firmly once it arrives. Full-grain and exotic leathers: wipe dust with a dry cloth, condition every few months, and let wet boots dry away from direct heat. Exotic skins (python, ostrich, alligator) want a conditioner made for exotics — never saddle soap. Use a boot tree or stuff with paper to hold the shape.
